It all began in 2008, at a boat show.
An inspiring conversation between our team and Maud Fontenoy, passionate sailor and tireless campaigner for the protection of the oceans. The idea of a joint project soon took shape: to create a unique model to support the actions of the Maud Fontenoy Foundation, committed to raising young people's awareness of the need to preserve the marine environment.
A committed bag, designed to last
The result is the MAUD Bag: an original, feminine, asymmetrical creation that goes against the grain of standardized trends.
Conceived as a veritable manifesto, it embodies:
- our craftsmanship,
- our desire to give a second life to boat sails,
- and our attachment to meaningful partnerships.
A sustainable sponsorship approach
This project was not limited to a simple product: it took the form of a sponsorship, combining creation with a commitment to solidarity. Visit MAUD Bag bag was presented at the foundation's annual charity dinner, becoming a symbol of collaboration between responsible design and environmental causes.
Made in La Ciotat, France, 100% authentic
Like all our models, the MAUD Bag is handmade in our workshop in La Ciotat, using sails from boats that have actually sailed. Each piece is unique, carrying the story of the wind, the sea spray and the open sea.
At Les Toiles du Large, every creation is the fruit of an original, carefully thought-out idea.
We prefer to leave time for creation, experimentation and the right gesture.
Because authenticity takes time... and gives meaning to what we do.
The MAUD bag is now available in 4 sizes
