sailing with a history

Whether it's racing, sailing, crossing a sea or an ocean, sailing has a history.

By transforming this noble material steeped in memory, Les Toiles du Large creates robust, endearing objects that are a source of dreams and escapism.

A happy blend of ecology, solidarity and dreams:

The sails are recycled in Provence, in partnership with sheltered workshops.
Each unique, robust piece is the result of meticulous craftsmanship, for an elegant, original, high-quality result.

An ethical and supportive approach:
Since 2005, the manufacture of our bags and accessories has been entrusted to two ESAT (structures d'aide par le travail) in the Marseille area.
These structures, commonly known as CATs, offer disabled people vocational activities as well as medical, social and educational support, with a view to promoting their personal and social development.

An ecological approach:
By recycling sails at the end of their life, Les Toiles du Large avoids burdening landfill sites with non-recyclable material. Several thousand m² of sails are processed each year. Over 95% of each sail collected is recycled.
Sail processing is carried out entirely in Provence, limiting the carbon footprint associated with transport.
The materials used to manufacture our products are made in France or Europe.

When you choose Les Toiles du Large, you're combining a purchase you've fallen in love with with a responsible and supportive approach that fits in naturally with the philosophy of sustainable development.
