Calanques Classique returns to La Ciotat
From May 23 to 25, 2014, on La Ciotat's Port Vieux.
The founding themes of the "Calanques-Classique" are to showcase
the floating heritage of traditional boats and the
environmental heritage of the Calanques. All in a spirit
of great conviviality typical of seafarers.
The 2014 edition, the sixth, will not only not depart from these
values, but on the contrary we hope to reinforce them over
the years.
Classic boats or traditional boats are a veritable
floating memory of the know-how of the architects and carpenters
of the first half of the 20th century, a period known as
"the golden age of yachting".
Part of this fleet has been assembled near the Pavillon de la
Société Nautique de Marseille, and throughout the year more than thirty boats of the highest
quality are on display for viewing by the Marseilles public and the many visitors to
the Phocaean city.
